Rav Yitzchok Zilberstein, noted posek and rov of Ramat Elchonon in Bnei Brak, has advised Yidden against organizing large Chanukah celebrations in light of the delicate security situation in Eretz Yisroel.
In a conversation with Rabbi Moshe Michoel Tzoren this morning, Rav Zilberstein elaborated on the reasoning behind his earlier directive. He expressed “concern that hosting extensive parties in the current circumstances might lead to a chillul Hashem, particularly when tragic events unfold in Gaza.” He questioned the appropriateness of Torah-observant Jews dancing and singing while fellow Jews face peril.
Reflecting on the guidance given by some of his own rabbeim during previous conflicts in Eretz Yisroel, Rav Zilberstein highlighted the gravity of the situation. When questioned by his talmid about the specifics of holding family celebrations, Rav Zilberstein emphasized that “there are no precise rules.” Instead, he encouraged people “to engage their intellect and use their own judgment, contemplating how their actions can avoid any chillul Hashem. And may we all merit to see miracles and wonders [as we saw] in those days at this time.”

I vote for this. Due to current events as our brothers & sisters are fighting for our freedom in Israel we have absolutely no right to go party have fun n enjoy in masses. Personally I feel we should take these holy words of Rav Zilberstein Shlit”a and take it to the next lever or as many level possible כל חד לפום מאי דמשער בליבי׳ וכו
Abd therefore I believe that all concerts any and all celebrations such as brissim bar mitzvah weddings should be canceled including Shabbos Yom Tov Purim Tisha Bav Rosh Hashana, Yom Kipper. May Hashem protect us and guide us, nay he save all our brothers and sisters on the front lines forever and ever.
