Reb Sholom Mordechai’s Trial On Hold Until Friday

Reb Sholom Mordechai ben Rivka Rubashkin’s current child labor trial will resume on Friday, because of health reasons and the Yom Tov of Shavuos. Reb Sholom Mordechai will remain in the hospital overnightand will be unable to appear in court tomorrow, according to friends and his defense team.

Last week, the judge had granted Reb Sholom Mordechai request to take Wednesday and Thursday off for Shavuos.

This past week was the first of what is scheduled to be a three-week trial. Reb Sholom Mordechai is awaiting sentencing for the first trial, by Judge Linda Reade, on May 27.
