rubashkin1After having most of the week off, the trial for Reb Sholom Mordechai ben Rivkah Rubashkin was delayed again today. Reb Sholom Mordechai  was released from a Cedar Rapids hospital this morning. Judge Nathan Callahan said the earliest Reb Sholom Mordechai could be in the Waterloo courtroom was 11 a.m. He sent jurors home and said court will resume at 1 p.m.

Trial had been scheduled to start Monday morning, but Reb Sholom Mordechai, who has been staying at the Linn County Jail in Cedar Rapids, was hospitalized over the weekend for an infection on his arm.

Trail was called off for Monday and Tuesday because of the medical issue. There was no court Wednesday and Thursday for Shavuos,  and Reb Sholom Mordechai continued to remain in the hospital those days.

The prosecution is still working its way through some 31 former Agriprocessors workers who claim they were hired by the slaughterhouse as teenagers.

Please continue davening for Reb Sholom Mordechai ben Rivkah.
