  1. As this is a hesped, and sadly no longer a Tehillim request, there were more than the four daughters. Rebbetzin Jakobowitz was a lady long before becoming a Lady.

Lady J, as she was fondly known, was a true zadeket in our generation. She helped out on every zedaka committee and just lived to do mitzvot le shem shamayim. She was even at a fundraising dinner on Monday night, of which she was a patron. She turned ill on Tuesday night and taken to the local medical center by Hatzalah ambulance. Her passing is a terible and tragic loss to all who knew her, and whom she so tirelessly worked for all her life as an eizer kenegdo to her wonderful Husband Z’TL.
May she be a melitzas yashara for her 6 children, grandchildren and all the family, and Klall Yisrael.
Hamakom Yenachem Etchem Betoch Shaar Aveilei Zion Ve Yerushalayim Amen!!!

  6. Lady J, together with her husband, were illustrious examples of Jewish leaders whose lives, behavior and middos were a great Kiddush Hashem in this world. Their strong commitment to Yiddishkeit, their dedication to the real values in life and to family life and their “yashrus” made a enormous impression on many, many world leaders. Unfortunately, we witness this type of greatness very seldom nowadays. May their great z’chus protect and support their family everywhere!

  7. BDE. Rebbitzen Jakobowitz was a lady of true understanding of the soul. I think of her every day and still keep my pact with her about thinking of her when saying Modeh Ani each morning, as she remembered me each morning. Her commitment was what kept me going- she was the very best kind of role model.

  8. Lady J was a first cousin to our mother. I once introduced our son to her as “ my son “. She quickly in the nicest manor reprimanded me “ my Son” ? Did you have him yourself? Please never say my son ! You must ALWAYS say, our son ! Your wife and Hashem are your partners ! Don’t ever exclude your partners !! I had the zechus to receive a nichum aveilim call from her while sitting shivah for our mom, only 3 days later was she nifta, and also leaving to next world. May she always be remembered !
