It is with great sadness that we report the passing of Rebbetzin Chassia Erlanger a”h.
Rebbetzin Erlanger was the wife of Rav Esriel Erlanger, mashgiach of the Mirrer Yeshiva in Brooklyn, NY.
She was a daughter of the famed mashgiach, Rav Shlomo Wolbe zt”l, author of Alei Shur who for more than 30 years served as the menahel ruchani of Yeshivas Be’er Yaakov.
The Rebbetzin was an ishah chashuvah who, together with her illustrious husband, raised a beautiful family of bnei and bnos Torah, carrying the legacy of her father, the great tzaddik and mashpiah, to the next generation.
The Rebbetzin had battled illness for a prolonged period and passed away this evening.
She is survived by her mother, Rebbetzin Wolbe telit”a, her husband, Rav Esriel, her siblings, her children and her grandchildren, who are following in her path of Torah, avodah and chesed.
The levayah will take place tomorrow, at 1 p.m., at Shomrei Hadas Chapels, located at 3803 14th Avenue in Boro Park, Brooklyn.
