It is with great sadness that we report the passing a short while ago of Rebbetzin Elisheva Kahaneman a”h. She was 61 years old and passed away at Mayanei Hayeshua Hospital in Bnei Brak surrounded by her family.
Rebbetzin Kahaneman battled illness for many, many years, enduring great yissurim. She and her family displayed great gevurah in the face of difficult medical challenges.
Rebbetzin Kahaneman was the wife of Rav Eliezer Kahaneman, the current nosi of Ponovezh Yeshiva in Bnei Brak, who is a son of Rav Avrohom Kahaneman zt”l and a grandson of Rav Yosef Shlomo Kahaneman zt”l, the Ponovezher Rov.
Rebbetzin Kahaneman was a daughter of Rav Mordechai Shlomo Berman zt”l, rosh yeshiva of Ponovezh Yeshiva in Bnei Brak. Rebbetzin Kahaneman’s mother, Rebbetzin Bluma Liba Ahuvah Ahuvah Berman, was a daughter of the Steipler Gaon, Rav Yaakov Yisroel Kanievsky zt”l.
The Rebbetzin is survived by her husband and their 14 children, as well as many grandchildren following in her ways.
The levayah will be held at 2 p.m. at Ponovezh Yeshiva in Bnei Brak.

BDE what a tragic loss
On the same day as a young mother of 3 children niftar at 32. This is just horrific and getting worse daily. Look at the ages and the ways they were niftar. Can we call these natural and not young ages?
Im in need of serious words of comfort. Can anyone give me an honest opinion or answer why such tragedies would just be struck out of nowhere and leave baby orphans? Other than a wake-up call for Teshuva.
