It is with great sadness that we report the passing of Rebbetzin Malka Mashinsky a”h, noted mechaneches and baalas chesed who was niftar on Erev Yom Tov. The Rebbetzin was tragically niftar after a bookcase collapsed on her at her home in Monsey, NY. The kevurah was held on the second night of Yom Tov at the New Square
Bais Hakevaros.
The Rebbetzin was the wife of Rav Hershel Mashinsky zt”l, and together, 50 years ago, they founded Kupath Ezrah of Rockland County together with Mr. Sam Nussbaum. Kupas Ezra has assisted local needy families in Monsey and Spring Valley quietly, discreetly and without fanfare. Rav Mashinsky was a longtime rebbi at Yeshiva of Spring Valley and was renowned for his expertise in the field of chinuch and his unceasing involvement in tzorchei tzibbur. The Rebbetzin served as a dedicated eizer to him in all his endeavors.
The Rebbetzin was a talented writer, and, like her other many talents and kochos, she utilized that ability to spread chizuk and emunah, inspiring and uplifting people.
The Rebbetzin leaves behind an upstanding family of Bnei Torah, including her sons, Reb Yosef, Reb Feivel and Reb Yankel.
Yehi zichra boruch.
