It is with great sadness that Matzav.com reports the passing of Rebbetzin Miriam Salomon a”h, wife of the mashgiach of Beth Medrash Govoah, Rav Matisyahu Salomon. She was 75 years old.

The Rebbetzin had been in critical condition and tefillos were being recited on her behalf across the Torah world. She passed away this morning.

The Rebbetzin, well-known for her special nature and the simcha and kindness with which she greeted the hundreds of people who visited her home each week, inspired numerous women throughout the community and beyond.

She served as a pillar of strength to her husband, who was the mashgiach of Gateshead Yeshiva, a position he held for more than thirty years, before the mashgiach and his Rebbetzin moved to Lakewood in 1997.

The Rebbetzin is survived by her husband, Rav Salomon, and their family of marbitzei Torah and noted talmidei chachomim and bnos chayil following in her ways. She is also survived by her siblings, Rav Pesach Eliyahu Falk, Rebbetzin Dunner and Rebbetzin Bamburger.

The levaya will be held today at 4 p.m. at the Bendheim Bais Medrash of Beth Medrash Govoah, located at 617 Sixth Street in Lakewood, NJ. There will be hookups for men in Binyan Herzka/Bais Yitzchok building and Ateres Esther Hall, and for women in the yeshiva dining room and the Klein, Gestetner and Zemel botei medrash.

Men are asked to approach from Seventh Street, while women should approach from Sixth Street.

The aron will then be taken to JFK International Airport, where a levayah will be held at 9 p.m. at Cargo Building #23. The aron will then be flown to Eretz Yisroel for kevurah there in Yerushalayim.
