It is with great sadness that Matzav.com reports the passing of Rebbetzin Rochel Devorah Berlin a”h. She was 73.
Rebbetzin Berlin was the wife of Rav Zev Berlin, rosh yeshiva of Yeshiva Gaon Yaakov in Bnei Brak.
The Rebbetzin was the oldest child of Rav Aharon Leib and Rebbetzin Tamar Shteinman.
The Rebbetzin was recognized as an isha chashuvah, a tzadeikes who devoted herself to her illustrious husband, as well as her parents, and engaged in chesed for bnei Torah at every opportunity.
The Rebbetzin leaves behind her husband, Rav Zev; her siblings, Rav Moshe Shteinman, Rav Shraga Shteinman, and Rebbetzin Tovah Shapiro; and her children and grandchildren.
The levayah was held this morning at Yeshiva Gaon Yaakov on Rechov Nechemiah in Bnei Brak, followed by kevurah at the Ponovezher Bais Hachaim in Bnei Brak.
