rav-matisyahuJust in: Rebbetzin Miriam Salomon, wife of the acclaimed mashgiach of Beth Medrash Govoah, Rav Matisyahu Salomon, returned home this afternoon in time to spend Zeman Simchaseinu with her illustrious husband and family in Lakewood, NJ. As first reported here on Matzav.com, in mid-August the Rebbetzin suffered a heart attack and was rushed to Kimball Medical Center in Lakewood. After her release, she was transferred to a Manhattan hospital and then a healthcare facility as talmidei hayeshiva and local residents continued to daven for a complete refuah for Rebbetzin Miriam bas Sarah.

It was with great hoda’ah to the Ribono Shel Olam that the Rebbetzin returned home to spend the Yom Tov with her mishpacha. She was welcomed amidst a joyous atmosphere at her home on Sixth Street, down the block from Beth Medrash Govoah, by her gratified children and grandchildren, and local residents whom she greeted with her trademark smile and good cheer.

The Rebbetzin, well-known for her special nature and the simcha and kindness with which she accepts the hundreds of people who visit her home each week, has inspired numerous women throughout the community. She has served as a pillar of strength to her husband, who served as mashgiach of Gateshead Yeshiva, a position he held for more than thirty years, before the Mashgiach and his Rebbetzin moved to Lakewood in 1997.

  2. Re 4: Everyone knew the Rebbetzin wasn’t well and why; it would be assumed one would be hospitalized under the circumstances.

May the Mashgiach and his rebbetzin be granted many more years, ad 120, with koach to share, nachas from their family and good health.
