It is with great sadness that we report the passing this afternoon of Rebbetzin Tziviah Galinsky a”h. She was 90 years old.
A week ago, the Rebbetzin was admitted to Mayanei Hayeshuah Hospital in Bnei Brak. Since then, her condition deteriorated, and today her family was called to her bedside, and a short while later, she passed away.
The Rebbetzin was the wife of the famed maggid meisharim, Rav Yaakov Galinsky zt”l.
Rebbetzin Galinsky was born in Russia on 28 Sivan תרפ”ו to her parents, Rav Chaim Binyomin Halevi and Rebbetzin Shleimah Rivkah Brod.
Over the years, the Rebbetzin served as a devoted eizer to her husband, initially living in Chadeira. The Rebbetzin sacrificed so that her husband could inspire the masses as he did throughout his lifetime.
Last night, the wedding of a great-grandson of the Rebbetzin, a grandson of her oldest daughter, wife of Rav Chaim Berman of Yeshivas Ponovezh, was held.
She leaves behind doros yeshorim umevorachim, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. She was predeceased by two sons.
The levaya will begin at 6 p.m. at 5 Rechov Chiddushei Harim in Bnei Brak, followed by kevurah at the Ponovezher Bais Hachaim in Bnei Brak.
