rechnitzReb Shlomo Yehuda Rechnitz wishes to pacify the senior registered nurse at Park Avenue Health Care and Wellness Center in Pomona, California, who was pranked by her son into believing she was a Powerball winner, as first reported here on Matzav.com.

Mr. Rechnitz, who described the prank as “despicable,” told ABC News that he wants the nurse to have some fun with the situation and that he will buy an all-expense paid vacation for the nurse and her family to anywhere they choose.

The 62-year-old woman was the recipient of one of 18,000 tickets that Reb Shlomo Yehuda bought for his employees and residents at 80 nursing home across California.

The winning ticket was purchased at a 7-Eleven located at 4092 Chino Hills Parkway in Chino Hills, California. While the nurse won’t be collecting her millions, at least she’ll get to enjoy an all-expenses paid trip courtesy of Reb Shlomo Yehuda. Not a bad deal.

  1. Enough with the story already. Matzav got embarrassed. You look like fools to the world outside matzav.com . You are becoming an unreliable news sources. Just let it pass.

  2. He turned it into a kidush Hashem. What generosity! What employer treats 18,000 of his employees to lottery tickets. That the son played a prank on the mom is not Rechnitz’s fault. His giving the family an all expenses paid vacation is very generous . Mi Kamcha Yisroel.
