hot-weather-2 The calendar says April, but it will feel a lot more like July in New York City today.

On Sunday, the temperature soared to 92 degrees in Central Park, shattering the old record of 84.

The mercury “only” made it 84 on Monday – 20 degrees above normal.

And today temperatures are expected to soar again – with highs in the 90s possible in Central Park – areas near the coast will be quite a bit cooler, especially on eastern Long Island, where temperatures will probably hold in the 60s and 70s.

If the temperature does in fact reach 90 today in Midtown, it could set a new record.

However, the heat is moving out just as fast as it came in.

Temperatures are expected to drop to the 60s Wednesday with rain possible.
