GOP Rep. Andy Biggs told a Democrat colleague that “we don’t know” who won the 2020 election in Arizona despite the recent Maricopa County audit that confirmed President Joe Biden’s victory.

The Arizona Republican, a strong supporter of former President Donald Trump, got into a heated exchange with Rep. Jamie Raskin, D-Md., during Thursday’s House Committee for Oversight and Reform hearing in which Arizona election officials testified, the Washington Examiner reported.

    • Trump lost “what” – and Biden won (not “one”) “what”? If you mean the position of the President of the United States, then that is correct, because the Constitution places that decision in the hands of the Electoral College, which can vote any way it wishes (the votes of the populace is irrelevant, and in fact Presidents have been legally elected in the past without any popular vote being held). And that is the exact point that the media supporters of the Democrats were spouting in 2016 when Trump won – the media were screaming for Electoral College to simply ignore the popular vote.

But the topic is the election process as it was held. The Constitution gives each state legislature the sole authority on how, and whom to, appoint as electors to the Electoral College. And there is no shortage of video evidence and witnesses that the rules as set down by the state legislature were openly violated egregiously. And the decision facing the legislature is what they will do about in future elections.
