Rep. Comer: Biden Influence Peddling Is ‘Organized Crime’

Proving the existence of pay-for-play influence peddling can present challenges, but House Oversight Committee member James Comer, a Republican from Kentucky, sounds confident in his ability to make a case against President Joe Biden. Speaking on “The Cats Roundtable,” Comer stated, “We have six different policy decisions—four of which were made while Biden was president—that we can’t come to any other conclusion as to why these decisions were made other than the fact that this president is compromised.” Comer further asserted that the Biden family’s financial ties to the Chinese Communist Party have led them to oppose the party’s attempts to gain control over certain American industries, stating, “This family’s taken too much money from the Chinese Communist Party not to completely join the majority of Americans in trying to oppose the Chinese Communist Party’s attempt to take over certain industries in America.”

As the leader of oversight investigations into the Biden family’s foreign business dealings, Comer has long maintained that their actions constitute “influence peddling.” While not a crime unless connected to tax evasion, such behavior could be grounds for impeachment if tied to bribery by a sitting president. Comer referred to the Biden family as an “organized family crime unit,” whose business model was centered around profiting from Joe Biden’s influence as both vice president and future president. Speaking to host John Catsimatidis, Comer claimed that the Chinese Communist Party, having profited from exports to America for decades, sought to invest in American industries, including defense manufacturers. According to Comer, the Bidens played a key role in navigating the federal bureaucracy on behalf of China, with Joe Biden being referred to as the “Big Guy.”

Comer estimated that the income derived from the Biden family’s foreign business dealings could exceed $30 million. He stated, “I’m confident it’s at least $17 million and it would not surprise me if it got to $30 million.” Comer suggested that complex financial structures involving shell companies were used to disguise and hide revenue from tax authorities and other government entities. He further alleged that the Bidens engaged in influence peddling with countries such as Romania, China, Ukraine, Russia, Middle Eastern nations, and rare-earth miners in Africa, potentially involving Hunter Biden. Regarding Hunter Biden’s claim of not profiting from these connections, Comer concluded, “Stay tuned. We’ll see if that’s a true statement.”
