Ben Carson rejected a role in President-elect Donald Trump’s cabinet, The Hill reported on Tuesday morning. According to the retired neurosurgeon and former Republican primary candidate’s close friend and manager Armstrong Williams, “Dr. Carson was never offered a specific position [in the administration], but everything was open to him.” Ultimately, Williams said, “Dr. Carson feels he has no government experience, he’s never run a federal agency. The last thing he would want to do was take a position that could cripple the presidency.”

The Hill reported from a “Carson ally,” however, that Carson was specifically offered a job as secretary of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. Trump has recently described Carson as a “brilliant physician” who “will be very much involved with my administration.” Williams indicated that Carson will serve an unofficial advisory role to a President Trump. 1. Ultimately, Williams said, “Dr. Carson feels he has no government experience, he’s never run a federal agency. The last thing he would want to do was take a position that could cripple the presidency.”

Strange, that this same person originally sought out the presidency!

  2. Dr. Carson does not need another 24hr job. If he was president it would be a different matter he would have many helpers, but after being a doctor for almost all his adult life, I am sure he will help advise if he can, but another 24 hr. job I am sure he is not looking forward to.
