Hamas’ internal security division has issued new directives to its fighters, warning them to be cautious about how Israel is able to pinpoint their whereabouts.
In its statement, the terror group admitted that Israeli intelligence has been effective in identifying and tracking operatives in Gaza, in part by observing seemingly ordinary details such as clothing drying on laundry lines.
The advisory also explained that Israel gathers intelligence by watching patterns of light and electricity use, examining leftover food and the volume of garbage discarded, and keeping tabs on who visits a location and the type of relationship they have with the resident.
In a separate announcement, Hamas’ security wing cautioned journalists not to reveal information about Israeli strikes on senior members of the group, stressing that only Hamas itself and its official military media channels are permitted to release such details.
