Hamas officials have directed their members to “neutralize the hostages” in the event that Israel attempts a rescue mission, according to a report by Reuters.
The report references an “internal document” in which Hamas leaders ordered the operatives holding Israeli hostages to “neutralize them,” following claims that “information has been received that Israel is planning an operation to rescue the hostages.”
The document further instructs operatives to “not consider the possible consequences of carrying out the instructions,” and places the blame for the hostages’ fate on Israel.
Though the document does not detail when Israel’s planned rescue operation will occur or if Israel knows the hostages’ exact location, it does mention that “Israel is planning a rescue operation similar to the one it conducted in June in the Nuseirat camp.” This earlier operation saw four Israeli hostages freed from Hamas captivity.
In a document dated November 22 under the title “Recommendations,” Hamas leaders urge operatives to “tighten the living conditions of the hostages” and “activate neutralization orders … as an immediate and swift response to any adventure by the enemy.” However, the document does not clarify what “neutralize” specifically means or whether it refers to killing the hostages.
Currently, 101 hostages remain held captive in Gaza, over a year after their abduction during the October 7 massacre.

i think it is very clear what neutralize means
If they demand hundreds of terrorists for each hostage, can Israel neutralize hundreds of terrorists it is holding for every one they kill in captivity?
