Israeli Prime Minister Bibi Netanyahu called Facebook founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg on Wednesday to complain that the social media network had been biased against his right-wing Likud party in recent elections, Haaretz reported.

According to the report, Netanyahu asked Zuckerberg “to ensure that the company would treat all parties equally prior” to the upcoming Knesset elections on March 2, Israel’s third national vote in the past year.

The report noted that Zuckerberg “didn’t comment on the specific claims Netanyahu raised, but did promise to be alert to the issue.”

A Facebook spokesperson was quoted as saying, “We are constantly talking with leaders worldwide. Mark stressed in this conversation that Facebook is a platform open to all ideas.”

  1. The article doesn’t address whether or not Mr. Netnyahu’s complaint was justified or not. Regardless, uses the term belittling term “Kvetches” is inappropriate!

  2. Zuckerberg the cross agility. We can just jump into his game.

One on the vow not to meet a new world online. Save your own. His is transparent wandering change.

  3. I totally agree with the first commenter. This headline is meant to demean and that is unworthy of Matzav.
It is a known fact that many media sources are left-leaning and that there is no such thing as impartiality in the media. Facebook is most definitely on the left. Whether right or left wing, the media will always toe the party line of its own leanings.

  4. Being that Mark Zuckerberg was found in the Epstein Island, I’m surprised he’s not with him now in Gitmo. Guess we’ll have to wait…
