Israel is said to have returned the remains of 80 Palestinians who were killed in Gaza. The bodies were taken from morgues and graves to undergo a check for potential hostages.
After being transported to Israel, the bodies were handed back to Hamas authorities, who, according to the sources, interred them in a communal grave within Gaza.
Following the examination of the corpses, they were transported through the Kerem Shalom crossing, situated between Israel and the Gaza Strip. Subsequently, a truck brought the bodies to the alleged mass grave, as per the information provided by the sources.
A digger, witnessed by an AFP photographer, was seen lowering the blue body bags into a trench located in Rafah, situated at the southern end of the territory.
The IDF has not issued a comment on this report.
