Israel’s Welfare and Social Services Minister Haim Katz will soon be charged with a number of criminal offenses related to fraud and breach of trust, Hebrew media reported on Wednesday.
Attorney General Avichai Mandelblit is currently preparing indictments against the Likud Party politician and will submit them to the Jerusalem Magistrate court in the coming days.
Katz is accused of using his office to advance the financial interests of businessman Mordechai Ben Ari in what authorities say was an illicit quid pro quo scheme.
