Israeli Prime Minister Bibi Netanyahu is reportedly weighing the possibility of stripping National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir of some of his powers after Ben-Gvir’s actions led Netanyahu to leave his hospital bed on Tuesday in order to vote in the Knesset, according to Kan News. The incident occurred when Ben-Gvir refused to arrange for a vote offset for Netanyahu and MK Boaz Bismuth, who was grieving the recent loss of his mother, forcing both of them to travel to the Knesset to participate in voting on budget bills.
Despite the tension, insiders close to Netanyahu suggest that Ben-Gvir is unlikely to face dismissal. Meanwhile, members of Ben-Gvir’s inner circle remarked that he is not concerned about being fired and would actually welcome it if it happened.
At the same time, Otzma Yehudit held an internal discussion regarding the possibility of disciplining MK Almog Cohen for voting with the coalition.
During a moment in the Knesset, Ben-Gvir told Netanyahu, “I could have solved the crisis easily. Too bad.” Netanyahu did not respond to this comment.
Subsequently, Netanyahu issued a public statement criticizing Ben-Gvir, stating, “There is no greater irresponsible folly than shocking the coalition at this time or risking the collapse of the right-wing government.”

Netanyahu is done. Finished. Most Israelis want Ben-Gvir as PM.
