Leaked recordings aired by Channel 12 on Friday night revealed that Aharon Haliva, the former head of the IDF Military Intelligence Directorate, claimed that Prime Minister Bibi Netanyahu disregarded intelligence assessments and ignored repeated warnings to strengthen preparations ahead of the events of October 7.
According to the report, Haliva explained, “In the past, it was common for the prime minister to meet with the head of the Intelligence Directorate once a week. Then it went down to once a month, then once every two months. By the end, meetings were only once every six months.”
Haliva further emphasized that “it is not for the head of the Intelligence Directorate to decide whether he would meet with the prime minister.”
The report also noted that Haliva expressed concern over Iran’s nuclear ambitions, stating, “If one day the state investigation committee opens the books on the last 20 years of our dealings with the nuclear issue and the money we invested there, building the barrier in Gaza will be peanuts compared to the billions invested there for nothing.”
In the recordings, Haliva also raised doubts about Israel’s handling of Operation Rising Lion — also referred to as the 12-Day War that took place from June 13 to June 24, 2025. He remarked, “I don’t know what should have been done. I’m not going into the analysis now, but [US President Donald] Trump should not have been pressured to withdraw from the nuclear deal.”
Haliva also recalled that during the Israel-Hamas War, just four days after the October 7 attacks, a tense confrontation occurred between Netanyahu and then-defense minister Yoav Gallant. According to Haliva, the disagreement centered on Gallant’s insistence that Israel should have launched strikes on targets in Lebanon at the start of the war — an approach Netanyahu eventually came to support.
This latest release follows recordings from the previous week, also published by Channel 12, in which Haliva sparked controversy by stating, “For every person killed on October 7 [by Hamas terrorists], 50 Palestinians need to die.”
In those earlier recordings, Haliva also addressed a fundamental failure in Israel’s intelligence framework, admitting, “One of the hardest problems before October 7 was the belief that intelligence was omnipotent. It is not just arrogance, it’s deeper.”

Countless young med deliberately burnt their draft cards and slipped away to go stay in Canada, where they would be out of reach to the US police who would want to come after them for breaking the US conscription laws.
Massive gigantic demonstrations were held in many major US cities at which the protestors shouted their absolute defiance and insults of the then US president, Lyndon Baines Johnson, who was often referred to by his “LBJ” initials:

Today in Eretz Yisroel, the government of the State of Israel has been exceedingly heavily screaming that on October 7, our country, our people, were severely brutally attacked. Therefore, EVERYONE, men, women, Chareidim, and non-Chareidim, must all join the Sacred Fight, this Milchemet Mitzva: to destroy the evil Amaleik Hamas, to protect our Jewish country, to protect our Jewish Homeland, to protect our Jewish people!!

There is though, a little problem with this noble “trumpet call.” For as this article here, and many other ones published on Matzav and other places too, point out, LONG BEFORE October 7, THE WHOLE GOVERNMENT OF THE STATE OF ISRAEL, from the top all the way down, VERY, VERY WELL KNEW what the wicked Hamas was planning & readying itself to do. And yet, they did not lift a finger to try to stop them. And when the attack actually began — I mean they clearly saw them coming — not even a “bee-bee-gun” was aimed at them.
YES, THE ISRAEL GOVERNMENT AND ITS VAUNTED IDF DELIBERATELY OPENED THE DOOR AND LET THE RATTLESNAKES ROLL ON IN!!
So it is glaringly obvious that the Israel Government does not care at all about the lives of its people and is more than ready to sacrifice its people’s lives for its own twisted, convoluted political gains. So when it now blares out the noble call to protect the people, we need to realize that, that call is a lie, for the purpose of this war is for a different convoluted political gain that is certainly far less noble.
When the American people realized that their Vietnam campaign was not the noble crusade it had been promoted as, but was for far less noble purposes, they bluntly refused to take part in it and likely be killed for something that was not really right.
So we too, as we realize that this “October 7 War” is not the noble crusade it is being promoted as but instead is for far less noble convoluted political gains, we too need to bluntly refuse to take part in it and likely be killed in a fight that could have easily been avoided. And, yes, the charge that the American people angrily blasted at President Johnson, we too need to, much more angrily, blast at Netanyahu: “YES, MR. NETANYAHU, HOW MAY BOYS DID YOU KILL TODAY?????????”
