The scourge of food insecurity currently affects more than one million children in Israel, a new study released by a welfare NGO reported this week.

The figures, released by the Latet organization, which provides various welfare and food aid services, represent one-third of all children in the country, with an additional 1.3 million adults suffering from hunger.

All in all, 2.3 million Israelis live in poverty, with 29.4% reporting weight loss due to an inability to afford food. At least 12% admitted to rummaging through garbage bins for meals.

  1. The Zionist government is generally the first country aiding and sending food packages to Bahamas, Haiti, Africa, Indonesia and other countries around the world in order to receive praise and recognition from the anti-Semitic countries worldwide and don’t care about those suffering in their own country.

  2. How is this possible??? Every meshulach who comes to me tells me that his organizations feed hundreds or thousands of families each and every week. According to my calculations based on what the meshulochim collect for, there are 8,678,723,652 people in Israel being fed by all the money they collect in America, Mexico, Canada, Europe, etc. And there are 2,465,721,976 Agunas being supported by all the money collected.

Always check out the person who you entrust your hard earned tzedoko money to. Make sure it really goes to help someone besides the schnorrer unless he specifies that he is collecting for himself. That goes for Lady schnorrers too.
