The Republican National Committee managed to raise a whopping $11 million in the month of May, the organization said Monday, THE DAILY CALLER reports.
The organization has far exceeded the Democratic National Committee in terms of fundraising this election cycle with a total of $155.8 million thus far – taking in nearly $50 million more than the DNC.
“The resources we’ve raised this cycle have allowed us to continue building the best-staffed, most wide-reaching, and most data-driven ground game in our party’s history,” RNC Chairman Reince Priebus said in a statement. “Our years-long commitment to building a robust, permanent field organization in battleground states means we’ve had a 148-week head start on Hillary Clinton and the DNC, who are only now assembling a General Election ground game.”
