Atlanta’s chief prosecutor is gearing up to charge former President Donald Trump with racketeering for his actions aimed at overturning the 2020 election results in Georgia. Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis is expected to officially accuse Trump, aged 77, of tampering with witnesses and engaging in computer trespassing, according to a report by The Guardian. If this indictment proceeds, it would mark Trump’s fourth this year.
Following his electoral defeat to now-President Biden, Trump made multiple phone calls to Georgia election officials, including one infamous conversation with Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger, urging him to “find” 11,780 votes to overturn the election results in the Peach State.
Willis is also investigating the involvement of former Trump attorney Sidney Powell in the alleged breach of Dominion Voting Systems machines that transmitted election data from Coffee County.
The indictment is likely to be issued early next month. The Fulton County DA’s office has not yet responded to media inquiries for comments.
In a letter to Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp dated February 10, 2021, Willis mentioned that her investigation would consider various charges, such as “solicitation of election fraud, making false statements to state and local governmental bodies, conspiracy, racketeering, violation of oath of office, and any involvement in violence or threats related to the election’s administration.”
Earlier this year, Emily Kohrs, a member of the special grand jury investigating election meddling in Georgia, informed CNN that there was a substantial list of recommended indictments in the case, and the revelation of one significant figure would not shock the public.
In July, Willis impaneled a second grand jury responsible for recommending whether the former president or others should be charged specifically in the case. In exchange for cooperating with the investigation, at least eight individuals known as “fake electors,” who intended to declare Trump the winner in Georgia, were granted immunity by Willis’ office, as per reports.
Furthermore, special counsel Jack Smith is reportedly considering another federal indictment against Trump for his involvement in the Capitol riot on January 6, 2021, concerning his efforts to overturn the election results. In June, Smith had already charged the former president with 37 counts for allegedly withholding classified documents from federal authorities and providing false statements about it. Additionally, in April, Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg indicted Trump on 34 counts of business fraud, accusing him of concealing “hush money” payments before the 2016 election.

This is terrible. Trump should resign immediately.
Oh gevalt!!!
Throw it at the wall maybe it will stick.
I think I saw him jaywalking in dc. Why is he not being charged, can we get a grand jury together
From all the charges Trump is facing I think this is the most absurd and will most likely embolden his supporters. The way I see it is they are telling Trump since we decided Biden won the election you have no right to question it. Although many people may believe Trump lost and Biden won We all know that there was much shenanigans going on before and during the election. There was ballot harvesting, mail in ballots, early voting issues and gerrymandering districts so democrats should have an edge. Trump has the full right to question the election and now he should come out swinging against this basic free speech issue.
Oh gevaldt vos noch!!!
The more that goes on with charges against President Trump and the less that goes on with the charges against sleazy Joe Biden and his family, WE ARE BEING EMBOLDENED MORE AND MORE.
