Donald Trump was reportedly so uncertain about his choice of Indiana Gov. Mike Pence to be his running mate that he asked some of his top staffers if he could back out of it late Thursday night, according to CNN’s Dana Bash and NBC’s Kelly O’Donnell.

The alleged hesitance came at around midnight last night, Bash said. Regardless of whether Trump was fully confident with his decision, he made it official earlier Friday on Twitter. Read more at CNN.

  1. Would wonder who is running his campaign. Was Pence picked for him?

Could Trump be a fused gift candidated fused to the GOP just to get a vote? One questions his mind is ready for better decisions of any national significance.

    Trial offer.

Two bit will likely stay on his ticket.

  2. Pence is a strange choice.

He was headed for defeat in his re-election campaign.

He did not support Trump in the primaries.

He expanded Medicaid in Indiana in accordance with the Affordable Care Act.

He publicly opposed mass deportation of Muslims.

  3. Re Pence as a strange choice:
OTOH, he may make it easier for the Cruz types to vote for Trump. He’s more circumspect than say, Newt. He may actually add something to the ticket.
As far as the ACA connected expansion, so he takes care of his constituency. Lots of politicians capitalize on what’s available for their peeps.
