santorumThe West is engaged in an “existential fight” against “radical Islam,” says former Pennsylvania Republican Sen. Rick Santorum, as “you don’t have any Baptist ministers going on jihad.”

The 2012 GOP presidential candidate, speaking at the Values Voter Summit and then with The Daily Beast, said the conflicts in Syria, Iraq, and the rest of the Middle East are “a clash of civilizations” that has been going on for most of the past 1,300 years.

  1. Christianity no longer expanding by the sword is only about a century old. And Santorum himself is no defender of religious liberty when it conflicts with his own Christian values.

  2. There is no conflict within Islam there is just a dichotomy between those who quash the truth and those who embrace the truth—and the truth is that the religion was created by an unbalanced and raving madman which serves no purpose other than creating murder and mayhem period.

    Better late than never, no?

I agree with comment #3, better a Santorum than the Democrats whose religion is the extreme Liberal flavor of the day.

  4. What is your point? We are living in the present not the past and the Senator is correct.
FYI-Rick Santoroum visited and was endorsed by Rav Shmuel Kamenetsky for his Senate run because of his religious values
