American Muslim and Jewish advocacy organizations strongly criticized U.S. President Donald Trump after he referred to Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer as a “Palestinian.” These groups argued that the president’s use of the term was derogatory and aimed at belittling Schumer.

During a White House discussion with Irish Prime Minister Micheál Martin about U.S. corporate tax rates, Trump voiced his frustration over Democrats in Congress failing to back his policies. In the exchange, Trump remarked, “Schumer is a Palestinian as far as I’m concerned. He’s become a Palestinian. He used to be Jewish. He’s not Jewish anymore. He’s a Palestinian.”

It is important to note that Schumer, the highest-ranking Jewish official in the U.S., does not have Palestinian ancestry.

Nihad Awad, the national executive director of the Council on American Islamic Relations, condemned Trump’s language, calling his use of “Palestinian” a racial slur that is deeply disrespectful to the office of the presidency. Awad, who has Palestinian roots, said that such remarks contribute to the “continuing dehumanization” of Palestinians.

Amy Spitalnick, CEO of the Jewish Council for Public Affairs, along with Halie Soifer, the CEO of the Jewish Democratic Council of America, also expressed strong disapproval of Trump’s comments.

Trump has faced previous backlash for similar comments, including during the 2020 election campaign, when he referred to Joe Biden as a “Palestinian” in a debate. Additionally, he made a controversial remark suggesting that Jews who did not vote for him should “have your head examined.”

The president has repeatedly denied accusations of discrimination. Neither the White House nor Schumer responded immediately to inquiries regarding his latest remarks.

In the wake of the ongoing Israel-Gaza conflict, there has been a noted increase in Islamophobia, anti-Palestinian sentiment, and antisemitism, according to various rights groups.

More recently, Trump has come under fire for a proposal to take control of Gaza and forcefully relocate Palestinians. This plan has been criticized by human rights organizations, Arab nations, Palestinians, and the United Nations, who have labeled it as a form of ethnic cleansing.

Additionally, the Trump administration is attempting to deport Mahmoud Khalil, a Palestinian graduate student from Columbia University who has been an outspoken advocate in pro-Palestinian protests.

  1. Bitter fools, victims of the woke stupidity. Trump was noting that Schumer has more allegiance to Palestinians than to Jews. Listen to the context. He noted that Schumer is no longer a Jew. It is getting boring for these Trump haters to be noticed by the media.

  2. Trump meant what he said. If the various rights organizations think “Palestinian” is a derogatory term, must be that the murderous and disgusting nature of many Palestinians has earned that reputation.

  3. They’re not “rights” groups. They’re “WRONG groups” They are libtards looking for an opportunity to bash trump. All trump said was that Schumers actions align with the palestinians and not with the jews.
    1) there was a terrorist attack in israel on oct 7. That schumer can’t see this, aligns him with the palestinians.
    2) The colleges protests were against jews, Yes, jews that weren’t even in israel to be the villains these idiots curse them for. That schumer stands up for them shows that he would let all jews to be obliterated and still stick up for the terrorists.
    3) The Bibas babies can obviously not be associated with any grievances claimed by these terrorists. That this dog can’t get his brain in his tail to give him a drop of decency and common sense says alot about how dirty his tail is.
    4) that jews in many countries are under threat, that is anti-semitism is everwhere, yet this animal supports the terrorists shows he’s rotten to the core.

All these so called rights groups are terrorists and should be labeled as such. They have no claim to the name “rights group” if they are only for biased rights!

  4. Trump is correct as usual. Schumer is a not a Jew in any real sense of the word. He is anti-everything we have always stood for. Total embarrassment to us.
