Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei met on Thursday with Ziad Nakhaleh, the head of the Islamic Jihad terrorist group, to offer his congratulations on what he described as a “victory” over Israel in the conflict that began on October 7, 2023, according to Khamenei’s office.
Khamenei praised Islamic Jihad’s supposed “victory in Gaza” and suggested that global sentiment is shifting in favor of the Palestinian Arabs following the events of October 7.
The Iranian leader also criticized U.S. President Donald Trump’s “foolish plans” to relocate Gaza’s residents during the ongoing reconstruction efforts in the region.
In return, Nakhaleh expressed gratitude for Iran’s backing of both Islamic Jihad and Hamas following the October 7 attack.
