For three years, Israeli actor Israel Atias and his wife, Naomi, underwent difficult fertility treatments as they tried to have a baby. Each time, the treatments failed.
On the brink of despair, and before considering turning to surrogacy Atias visited Maran Rav Chaim Kanievsky for a bracha. Rav Chaim listened to Atias’ predicament and smiled warmly, assuring him that everything will be okay. He then instructed Atias to study a particular masechta as a zechus.
Finally, Naomi became pregnant, but the Atiases were anxiety-ridden and decided to hide it from the world, including confining themselves in their home. Now, the star of “Shabnikim” has revealed that Naomi had a baby boy.
The Atias endured quite a few challenges, including contracting Corona during the sixth month of pregnancy.
Crediting Rav Chaim with the birth of the baby, Israeli and Naomi named their baby ‘“Roy Chaim” after Rav Chaim.
