The Galaxy J2 Pro has the bare essentials of a smartphone. You can text and make calls with it and take photos with the 8-megapixel rear camera and 5-megapixel front camera. There’s also an offline DioDic4 English dictionary app, a calendar app, calculator, and an FM radio. That’s it. And while there’s technically an LTE modem in the phone, it’s disabled for everything but calls and texting. Otherwise, there’s absolutely no Wi-Fi or data to speak of. If you want, you can even opt for a data plan that limits how many texts you can send.
It comes in two colors, black and gold, and costs around 200,000 won, or about $190. The rest of its specs are pretty good: a 5-inch QHD AMOLED display, 1.4GHz quad-core processor, and 1.5GB RAM. It also has a 2,600mAh battery and a microSD slot. Read more.

Can TAG sell this phone for people that are looking for a non-internet smartphone?
Sounds pretty kosher for chareidim, no?
I am thinking that it could be a Maaris Ayin issue for Bnei Yeshiva. Any way that Samsung could make a flip-phone version?
are you kidding me have you seen the pesach section of pizzas and cereal?
or during the year or Turkey bacon and parave chesee? but this, this is where you draw the line with Mares eyin?
maskim
Except for text messages and camera it is a kosher phone
what about phones they encourage lashon hara.
that’s it people should move back to the shtetl!
sarcasm
Why are you being sarcastic. I fully agree with your point
you realize phones dont stop lashon hara.
besides not saying lashen hara can cause problem also.
i am waiting for a smartphone without any calling capabilities..
Ha ha ha. Zeyr gut gezuckt.
I agree that things are getting way out of control, as far as takanos are concerned. This is all to satisfy the naysayers in the sidduch parsha. “This boy/girl is super frum because they only have a kosher phone”. Anyone with a Chase Bank App is a sheigitz and a meturaf who has no chelek in Olam Haba. Yeh right. And then they wonder why good kids are going off the derech. Who the hell wants to marry into such a takana family anyway? Enjoy a miserable life?
Most people in Shidduchin don’t care about cell phones.
More important is Rabunis and Yicchus.
“Rabunis and Yicchus”
did you misspell money?
Comment Just curious. What makes this a smartphone? Can you install apps just that there’s no browser? Please clarify.
