Paterson, NJ has long been a hotbed of anti-Israel sentiments and pro-Palestinian fervor, with chants of “Free Palestine” and “Occupation has to go” at various events over the past years.

Now, just hours after a Bnei brak terror attack saw a Palestinian slaughter five people, the town of Paterson voted last night to rename a street in the town “Palestine Way.”

This is the same town that has repeatedly seen its residents call for an end to “Israeli occupation, bombardment of Gaza and displacement of Palestinians from their homes.”

The American Muslims for Palestine of New Jersey has organized rallies in Paterson with strong support from local residents.

Paterson is home to one of the largest Arab and Palestinian communities in all of the United States, and in many local stores and businesses, national flags and photos of Yerushalayim being controlled by Palestinians are proudly displayed.

There is a Palestinian American Community Center in Clifton, which has also teamed up with the aforementioned group in bashing Israel while ignoring Palestinian terror.

Last night’s vote to rename a part of Main Street in Paterson was virtually unanimous. Only one council member objected.
