Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) on Saturday described an article from Politico about his wealth as being anti-Semitic.

Politico’s article, “The Secret of Bernie’s Millions,” has been blasted by progressives as being anti-Semitic for its portrayal of the Jewish senator’s wealth, which included a picture of Sanders beside a tree made of money.

“Call that what it is, an anti-Semitic article,” the 2020 presidential candidate said after The Young Turks host Cenk Uygur mentioned the article in an interview.

  1. A wake up call from Politico who wanted to remind Bernie who is married to a goyta of his Jewish ancestry who were religious Jews.

  2. I don’t see it as being semi Semitic being that there is no hint of Bernie being Jewish in the cartoon and the cartoon does make perfect sense based on Bernie’s behavior and rhetoric alone.

BUT for those who do see it as being anti-Semitic, there is a major lesson to learn.

Bernie Sanders is a person who according to all observers tries very hard to downplay the fact that he is Jewish.(particularly in his 2016 campaign) There is absolutely nothing in his personal life or identity that has anything to do with his being Jewish. His homepage in his 2016 campaign made the point of saying pork rinds are his favorite food. He made campaign events on Yom Kippur. He referred almost exclusively to his “Polish” parents, Etc.

Yet, even so, the anti-Semites look at him as being Jewish and attack him for it. As the old Yiddish saying goes “When the Yid doesn’t make Kiddush, the Goy makes Havdala…”

  3. Biden has it locked up as long as he doesn’t say anything STOOOPID. They are trying to portray him as not like the other socialist/communists candidates.

CRAZY BERNIE should let it go

  4. Ahh, now I understand. An article pointing out that wealth-demonizing Senator Sanders is himself a wealthy owner of multiple homes? Anti-semitic. On the other hand, BDS-supporting, anti-semitic trope spewing Democratic congresswomen? Not anti-semitic.

The newly anti-Israel direction the Democratic party has witnessed many of its members undertake, combined with the flagrant, shameless denial of multiple incidents of their antisemitism is distressing for many reasons.
