Satmar Cancels Annual Chuf Alef Kislev Celebrations

The Satmar kehilla will not be gathering this year to commemorate the escape of the Rebbe, Rav Yoel, from the hands of the Nazis ym”sh, due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The cancelation comes after Satmar was hit with a $15,000 fine from New York City, as well as an overwhelming amount of negative attention, following a chasunah of the Rebbe’s grandchild that was attended by thousands.
