Saudi Arabia has had a seat at the table during the ongoing Abraham Accords, which have led Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates, and Sudan to normalize relations with Israel. Some Middle East experts predict that Saudi Arabia could be one of the next Arab nations to recognize Israel as a country because of the growing security threats it faces from Iran and a need for a more globalized economy.

But foreign relations experts caution that the country’s deep Islamic roots and long-standing desire for Palestine to have its own state could be roadblocks in forging a peace alliance with Israel anytime soon.
