In a rare moment of agreement with President Trump, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer on Monday praised President the move of the U.S. Embassy in Israel from Tel Aviv to Yerushalayim.

“In a long overdue move, we have moved our embassy to Jerusalem. Every nation should have the right to choose its capital,” Schumer said in a statement. “I sponsored legislation to do this two decades ago, and I applaud President Trump for doing it.”

  1. I saw on TV today ( waiting in a doctors office ) NY Senator Kristen Gillibrand criticizing President Trump for the Embassy move saying “now is NOT the right time” but I noticed, she didn’t say when a “good” time to move it would be. This is very troubling for Jews living in NY State. When she first became Senator she was so friendly and supportive of Israel and the Jewish people. Now she, along with Cory Booker, has become antagonistic towards Jews and the State of Israel. She has sold her soul to the Democrat Party and thus, stabbed the Jewish people in the back. When Obama was President, maybe I could understand, due to his pressure. But now, Obama is no longer the President, so if one still shows disdain for Jews and the State of Israel, it comes from their honest true core beliefs. This is not acceptable for someone representing the State with the largest Jewish population.

  2. Hi Chucky,
If this was such a laudable event, why did you not grace it with your presence?
Why is it that besides for FORMER Democratic senator Joe Lieberman, ONLY Republican senators were present?

  3. Thank you Senator Schumer. Breaking with your crazy friends of on the Left always comes at a price. Yashar Koach.

To other commentators: Fine to attack Schumer when he deserves; BUT have a bissel hakaros hatov when he does something right. Not sure which yeshivos taught you that hakoros hatov is all or none.
