Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., is advising Americans to ignore the CDC’s most recent advice to continue wearing face masks in public even after getting vaccinated for COVID-19.
“Rather than listening to government scolds, look to the science of immunology: and once you’re 2 weeks out from the vaccine, or have recovered from the actual infection, trash your mask and live free again,” Paul tweeted Monday night.
The senator was referencing a tweet from CNN noting the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s latest guidelines released earlier Monday gave “limited freedoms to people fully vaccinated” against COVID-19.
