Sen. Ron Johnson, R-Wis., is raising the possibility that a special counsel will be needed to investigate the business dealings of Joe Biden’s son Hunter.
Johnson made his comments Wednesday during an interview on Fox Business Network’s “Mornings With Maria.”
“I am not a big fan of special counsels, but if Joe Biden wins the presidency, I don’t see how you avoid one,” Johnson said. “Otherwise, this is going to be, you know, tucked away, and we will never know what happened. All this evidence is going to be buried, so I think we have to have a special [counsel] if Joe Biden wins.”
Johnson has already called on the FBI to answer questions about a reported meeting between Joe Biden and a senior official from Ukrainian energy company Burisma Holdings amid a controversy over the dismissal of a prosecutor investigating the firm.
