Sen. Patrick Leahy (D-VT) and several House members asked the U.S. State Department last month to look into claims that Israel’s security forces have committed human-rights violations.

The Feb. 17 letter to Secretary of State John Kerry also asked for alleged Egyptian violations to be probed.

“In light of these reports, we request that you act promptly to determine their credibility and whether they trigger the Leahy Law and, if so, take appropriate action called for under the law,” the letter reads.

The Leahy Law prohibits the State Department and Defense Department from supplying military assistance to foreign bodies that are known to violate human rights. Read more at Politico.

  1. Leahy is a senile old bag who shares the Senate in Vermont with that other nut-job Bernie Sanders. And yet we are told that its the Democrats who are “pro” Israel and the Republicans are “all” rabid anti Semite’s.

  2. Gohead Pat!
Do your investigation! The truth will be borne BUT, you nadty anti-semite, why aren’t you also investigating the Palestinians?
I’ve got a deal to propose! When you find that there was no wrongful acts by the IDF, will you expose the violations of the arabs?

  3. Leahy is a scared cat looking for a simple mouse. He has no values and his real problem is he is going to get caught up in his own poor values.

Still, I vote Democrat. This guy is not the party in all of its needs.

Careful times. We must discuss this experience and know who is our leadership.

He has been in office since 1975!! Time to move on!
