felderSenator Felder is encouraging New Yorkers to spend some time this summer volunteering at local charitable organizations. “Volunteering is both rewarding and vital for our community,” said Senator Felder.

Recently, the Senator volunteered alongside NYC Department of Probation Commissioner Ana Bermudez at Masbia Soup Kitchen, helping prepare meals to be distributed to impoverished New Yorkers. Masbia is a nonprofit soup kitchen network and food pantry that provides hot, nutritious meals daily for hundreds of New Yorkers in desperate need of food

Senator Felder also accompanied JASA’s Director of Nutrition Services, Leslie Rosen, along with the delivery team, as they distributed meals to the aging population, many of whom would not have a nutritious meal without this invaluable service.

“There are so many great organizations that rely on the help and support of volunteers,” said Felder . “It is critical that we set an example for our youth by finding time in our busy schedules to help charitable organizations that work tirelessly to improve the lives of all New Yorkers. I look forward to participating in many more volunteer opportunities,” concluded Felder.
