[Video below.] Former US Senator Joseph Lieberman, the Vice Presidential Candidate for Al Gore, shared his inspiring story in an exclusive interview with JewintheCity.com about his personal religious journey, from how he stopped keeping Shabbat in college and why he returned to it years later.
The Senator became famous for how he continued to faithfully observe the Sabbath during his years in politics, sometimes walking for four miles through Washington DC when he was needed for a vote on Friday night or Saturday or an issue of national security. He published a book a few years ago called “The Gift of Rest: Rediscovering the Beauty of the Sabbath.”

Maybe Hashem might have been more imptessed in how he grew in his neshama than his current events. Mr. Lieberman has assets but discussing limited song for his own prayers is not absolute blessing. Go Joe!
Wow! I would love to hear the part about how he left Sabbath observance! I’m sure it is very inspiring!
