Senator Menendez: Obama ‘Fear-Mongering’

bob-menendezSenator Robert Menendez, the Democratic chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee slammed the White House on Wednesday for using what he sees as “over the top” language and “fear-mongering” to stop new sanctions on Iran after the administration negotiated an interim deal with the country.

“What I don’t appreciate is when I hear remarks out of the White House spokesman that … if we’re pursuing sanctions we’re marching the country off to war. I think that’s way over the top, I think that’s fear-mongering,” Menendez said on NPR.

Menendez joins many Republicans and some Democrats who have been critical of the administration’s interim deal with Tehran in which Iran accepts limits on its nuclear program in return for relief from sanctions that have devastated its economy. Read more.

  1. OB has taken a page out of FDRs book.He also tried to keep the US out of war and look where it got.Once we were at war he kept the Jews from talking up,by telling them that they were fear mongereing.Three cheere for Sen Menendez.Too bad we cant get our Jewish Pols to say it as bluntly
