A Republican senator who opposed President Donald Trump’s intervention in the Roger Stone case said he would like to see former national security adviser Michael Flynn be pardoned.

During an appearance on “The Chris Stigall Show” Wednesday, Sen. Pat Toomey, R-Pa., weighed in on the case.

“I think Michael Flynn should be pardoned,” Toomey said. “He has not been convicted of anything. The prosecutorial discretion that ought to be afforded to the Justice Department as it is in every other case — they recognize that he should not be prosecuted.”
