The municipality of Efrat conveyed the somber news this evening of the tragic death of Sergeant Major Elkana Newlander in battle in the Gaza Strip.
The official announcement extended condolences to Elkana’s parents, Averi and Na’ava, from the Zayit neighborhood. Additionally, the message conveyed condolences to Elkana’s siblings, Sara Yiska, Ariel, Yedidya, Yael Hodiya, Efrat, and Na’ami.
Efrat Mayor Oded Revivo reflected on Elkana’s contributions, highlighting his tenure as a volunteer with Magen David Adom. Elkana played a pivotal role in the vaccination operation, engaging with elderly residents and offering continuous support.
