On Monday’s episode of The Reid Out, MSNBC host Al Sharpton criticized President-elect Donald Trump and Vice President-elect JD Vance for inviting Marine veteran Daniel Penny to their box at the Army-Navy football game. Sharpton described the move as disrespectful and argued that it reflected the administration’s dehumanizing view of Black people.

Sharpton remarked, “It is amazing to me that you would have someone that choked to death an unarmed man who had mental problems and act as though he’s some kind of hero. The clear message is that you are now giving legitimacy to vigilanteism, and it could make others feel that they can take the law into their own hand.”

He continued, “The jury spoke, you have to accept the verdict of the jury but to make a folk hero or a political star out of someone that killed an unarmed man, who didn’t physically assault anybody, who didn’t threaten anybody, he was acting unruly. He might have been something that made people uncomfortable but to kill him and then to honor this person that did this choke hold, that caused the death and bring him to the President-elect’s box at the Army-Navy game, a president that was president when George Floyd happened, Breonna Taylor happened, Ahmaud Arbery, happened he never said a word of comfort to the families of the victims there. But he’ll make this guy, whose only claim to fame is that he choked to death an unarmed man with mental issues. It ought to be insult to all Americans beyond race. If the race was the other way around, would the reaction be the same? I think Donald Trump is clearly sending a racial signal here. I think a lot of those that have fell in line are comfortable with that. That’s frightening.”

Sharpton also added, “You have to ask yourself, is that not a purposeful signal? This is the same Donald Trump that claimed black men were going to vote for him but look at what he did to a homeless black man, what Penny did to a homeless black man with mental problems.”

He concluded by saying, “Let’s not forget JD Vance accused black Haitians of eating the pets of people in the city in Ohio when he was a senator so he sees us as animals and he sees us as less than human.”

  1. They is not in denial. Yo called it right. They see them as animals and if you don’t see them as animals then yo is – indeed and in deed – an animal just the same.

  2. Hey, racist Sharpton. Why don’t we hear from you about Jordan’s William’s acquittal after he stabbed and killed a homeless man who was attacking people in a NY train? He got not bail amount and his charges were dropped.

  3. Yeah, terrible. All those blacks on the jury who acquitted Mr. Penny are racists thru and thru. Why give this bum, who burned down Freddy’s Fashion Mart, any attention?!

  4. On a case by case basis some of your co-inhabitants could be considered animals, insulting to animals as that may be. Sharpton, your blatant disregard for any due process in the Tawany Brawley fiasco renders you a non-entity. Please do the right thing, find a well-fitting muzzle and wear it.

  5. This pile of turd just sees things as black vs. white. To him everything is political, regardless of the facts. In truth, Penny would have protected the people on the subway no matter what skin color that animal had.

  6. Indeed, you’re right, he was sending a message: To people like you, to rile you up and make you sound even more ridiculous than you already did…if that’s possible.
    Looks like it worked.
    You got trolled.

  7. I believe the readership of this site are all aware that Sharpton is an immoral animal. And I find it hard to believe that anyone rerally cares about his opinions. What is astonishing is that this site publishes his barking. He seeks attention and money, and there is nothing too low for him to stoop to get the attention and money. I lodge my complaint to the editors of this site for publishing this gibberish.

  8. Did MSNBC do the same with him and brought him on their show …his in no way one to preach other. He should close his mouth all day long he disrespects people

  9. And Mr. Sharp to disregarding the jury’s verdict is disrespectful to the Government of the United States of America and to its Justice System. You know, the government which granted, and continues to grant Mr. Sharp ton his Civil Rights.

  10. And Mr. Sharp to disregarding the jury’s verdict is “insulting” to the Government of the United States of America and to its Justice System. You know, the government which granted, and continues to grant, Mr. Sharpton his Civil Rights.

  11. If an animal could threaten to kill someone in a NYC subway car, and was killed, would THAT be okay, Mr. Sharpton? Only if Mr. White-man does it it is bad?

  12. Please remember that this guy has one thing keeping him in business: his blatant anti-white racism. He’s not looking to improve things for blacks – he wants to keep them in the gutter. If racism somehow vanished completely, and all people were treated equally, he’d have no more pulpit to stand on or any revenue stream. So he needs to race-bait and to keep doing absolutely nothing concrete.
