Police investigators were called to a school in Ramle after claims that human embryos were found in a laboratory of the institution. Investigators found suspicious jars and sent them for testing at the Institute of Forensic Medicine. Health Ministry officials are examining the matter.
The supposed embryos were found in jars at the Ramle Lod High School, which has been shuttered for about a year and a half, Matzav.com has learned.
The source of the images that led to this revelation remains unknown.
A police raid last night at the school confirmed the fears: there were indeed suspicious jars containing what appeared to be human embryos. The Institute of Forensic Medicine has been tasked with ascertaining whether they are, indeed, human embryos.
Local police are conducting an investigation together with Health Ministry officials.
