Rav Sholom Mordechai Rubashkin has been denied entrance into the United Kingdom by immigration officials, Yeshiva World News reported.

According to reports, Rubashkin was landing in Manchester from Israel, where he had spent Lag Ba’Omer in Meron, when he got stopped at the airport and his entry denied.

Rubashkin was heading to Manchester as part of speaking tour and was scheduled to give speeches on Monday and Tuesday before hundreds of British Jews. He was stopped after a few jealous individuals informed the authorities that the former CEO of Agriprocessors had a criminal background, in order to cause R’ Sholom Mordechai issues.

These individuals went so far as to create an online petition to protest the speaking tour. When the instigators saw their campaign was unsuccessful they took to mesira to stop Rubashkin from delivering chizzuk, all in the name of stopping a chillul Hashem

Askonim are continuing their efforts to get Rubashkin into the country as he sits and waits in the airport.

  1. These evil wicked instigators who were moser should be killed. We have to start following what the Torah says we should do to mosrim.

    • Unfortunately the Mosrim put on Tefillin every day (והמבין יבין) so I wouldn’t wish them to be killed.

    • You seem to be woefully clueless about the parameters of what the Torah says regarding killing a “moser”.
In this case, the slander bearers did not turn over SMR to the government, cause him to be imprisoned, or endanger his life in any manner.

    • If it’s members of the NK, they’ll get what’s coming to them in this world and the next. Regardless, whichever so-called “jews” did this to him, they will definitely get paid back mida kineged mida.

  2. Listen his sentence was commuted not pardoned.

He is a past criminal who did his time for the crime but he is still a legal criminal.

    • Dear ruvi, are you trying to say that Great Britain has very tight immigration controls, where third-world violent felons can not get inside, and a non-violent railroaded offender such as Rubashkin is the biggest threat to the British legal system?! You nitwit.

  3. Regardless of how one feels about his case, the details and actions , innocence or otherwise, his gadlus is on how he behaved and worked on his growth in a place called prison! Noone can negate or disagree with that, only a jealous individual.

  4. What exactly is the mesira here? he is not being turned over to the government or being imprisoned. He is not allowed entrance into a country because of his criminal record which is still on the books despite his sentence being commuted.

  5. Rabbi SMR survived American jails he will overcome these spineless misnagdim. ויפוצו מעינתיך חוצה

  6. I’m with the protesters on this one. Although I’m as guilty as the next person, the fact is that we are insufficiently scrupulous when it comes to integrity in financial matters. As bnei Torah we know that “everyone does it” won’t work when we face the RBS”O. He stands for absolute emes and He expects the same from us. Accordingly, if I were to be caught overstating my income to obtain a mortgage, for example, I would be embarrassed. I still do it but I acknowledge that it’s wrong and that actually there’s no greater indicator of diminished emunah & bitachon! I would feel hypocritical talking about bitachon if I were publicly exposed for doing so. Please don’t get me wrong and please don’t group me with others who hate the Torah community. I am ecstatic that Reb Sholom Mordechai is home. I, too, davened for him. I admire the strength that Reb Sholom Mordechai showed while in jail; my Emunah might not have endured. I just want us to maintain the proper level of repulsiveness to sheker.

  7. The web has an article that Rubashkin visited in January. So why is this different now than then? The only thing I see is that this time he came via Israel?
