MK Idit Silman discussed to the new decrees that Finance Minister Avigdor Lieberman plans to impose on the chareidi public.

According to Channel 7, Silman said in a conversation with her associates: “As I mentioned then, this is just the beginning and the surprises are still on the way – the deletion of religious councils and rabbis, a series of cuts that harm the chareidi sector, …and the eradication of Torah students.”

Silman praised the chareidi public: “They are an example and role model of devotion to the world of Torah, the people of Israel and the Land of Israel.

“The past year has made us all full of appreciation and respect for their firm adherence to their principles – despite the pressures, the offers and sometimes the humiliations. You probably do not know a chareidi woman and a chareidi man – they will not sell their values for money. ”

As reported this past week, Lieberman instructed Ministry of Finance officials to prepare the decrees that are expected to harm the chareidi and Mizrachi families.

Included in the cuts are

  • A one-third cut in the yeshiva budget – from NIS 1.2 billion to NIS 800 million.
  • Changing the budget of the educational networks of Yahadut Hatorah and Shas from 100% to 75%.
  • Adding a test of earning capacity for people to receive a daycare subsidy, rent assistance and tax deductions. Meaning that someone who learns and does not work will not receive subsidies at all.

CH”V. Chareidim are devoted to the Torah and Klal Yisrael, as required by the Torah. The land is secondary, at best, to all of that.
