When $16 million in discretionary education funds were doled out this week, Brooklyn state senator Simcha Felder proved once again that he’s a master at maximizing his position as the swing vote in the divided legislative body.
Grants largely controlled by the GOP leadership showered money on more than two dozen programs in Felder’s South Brooklyn district, as well as on a powerhouse Orthodox Jewish social-services group close to the wily Democrat.
Felder’s haul of more than $1.2 million dwarfed all others, including Republicans, in the 63-member chamber.

We need more Simcha type politicians. We need idealistic types who will fight for our values and not kiss up to the democratic atheists.
